Reflexology
Classic Reflexology
£40 [1h]
In our Classic reflexology treatment, you’ll receive a foot reading, lots of soothing massage techniques that’ll leave your feet feeling floaty, and a comprehensive reflex routine that systematically addresses all of your main reflex points. It rounds up with a customised blend of points & a relaxation sequence to leave you with the lightest, happiest feet in town!
Sports Reflexology
£50 [75min]
Perfect for runners and those who spend long days on their feet. This treatment focuses on loosening off all the ligaments surrounding your ankles & covering the soles of your feet. After we’ve relaxed the muscle origins, we’ll progress onto your calves and shins.
This precise massage work will be interspersed with our Sports reflex routine. We won’t be addressing all your reflex points (like in the Classic & Deluxe) but will instead focus on those that will aid your metabolism, sleep quality & leg anatomy.
Deluxe Reflexology
£75 [1h 40]
An extra long, extra relaxing treatment including everything in the Classic - with a bit of added sparkle. It starts with a delicious hot towel wrap followed by a comprehensive reflex routine which is peppered throughout with deep relaxation techniques. To finish we’ll apply a refreshing mint foot mask and, while that’s “marinating”, work through any knots in your calves.

What is reflexology?
a type of massage based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands & head that are linked to every part of the body.
Applying pressure to the reflex points (e.g. your sinus reflex) can help alleviate symptoms in the linked area (like helping with allergies or clearing out a blocked nose)..
-
Reflexology is great at helping with things like:
Difficulty relaxing/ stress/ insomnia (basically anything stemming from an over-active mind that won't stop firing)
Digestive problems (constipation/ poor absorption of food/ IBS)
Any of the fun womanly specialties (painful periods/ menopause/ fertility)
Musculoskeletal pain (e.g. tender knees/ shoulders/ lower backs)
-
In my opinion reflexology helps with the issues mentioned above because it gets you out of your own head, away from the stress & constant "GO-GO-GO" state of your mind.
It gives your body the chance to just RELAX. If you've ever had a foot/ head massage before, you'll know that there's something about them that sends you straight to the land of dreams!
Another thought on the "science behind reflexology" is it's link to the theory of acupuncture; when there's a problem in an area, its' corresponding nerve pathways are often 'blocked' or 'over-active', meaning that the bodies' ability to connect with the area is reduced or in overdrive.
Having unbalanced pathways to an area means that you body may be struggling to send the right instructions/ hormones/ nutrients that the area needs to function effectively.
Stimulating the nerve pathways from your feet can help reactivate, or calm, the nerves and get your problem areas feeling happy again.
-
A portion of the reflexology treatment will be like a regular foot massage (lot's of the soothing massage strokes you'd likely expect), but the actual reflex sequence involves a variety or different techniques like thumb crawls, soft and firmer lines traced across the soles, knuckles drawn down feet arches & heels.
Most points will be gently pressed with a thumb or corner of a knuckle, which will feel just like that, a gentle precise pressure.
When trouble points are either 'blocked' or 'over-active' you may experience a dull to sharp sensation when the reflex is pressed. You may also experience sensation in the linked body part - a common one is the knee; when the knee reflex is tender, which could be due to a recent injury or past knee operation, some people feel a tingly sensation running up their legs.
-
Although reflexology isn't diagnostic, I find that it can pick up on pre-existing or current issues really well. I often get feedback from points where you've had operations (like knees/ gall bladders) and areas where you may currently be experiencing discomfort (like the neck/ lower back).
I've found that the reason most of my clients fall in love with reflexology is its ability to get them to genuinely relax. Some patients experience feedback from points, and get reactions in the associated areas, every treatment. Some experience it once or twice. Some not at all.
So far *touch wood* everyone has felt invigorated after the treatment and like they've genuinely been able to relax. Everyone has also related to results from the foot reading/ reflex routine (e.g. findings of a puffy shoulder point and tender neck area which link up with pain they've been experiencing in those areas).
-
When you arrive to the session we'll get you to pop off your shoes & socks, hop onto the treatment couch, lay back & relax.
Our reflexology treatments start with a foot consultation where we'll be looking for any telling signs that may provide some info about what's going on; things like dry patches/ swelling/ colour.
Then we'll wipe your feet down using our cleansing tea tree blend, apply a minty eucalyptus foot balm, and begin a relaxing massage sequence to relax your feet before the reflexology routine starts.
Our full reflex routine (Classic & Deluxe treatments) maps its way through the body in a sequential order, starting from the head and working down through the shoulders, spine, legs and various systems; respiratory, digestive, endocrine, reproductive etc.
As we go through the routine we'll be picking up on any trouble spots. When the routine's complete we'll go back over reflex points that'll help with your sessions aim (like help with stress or painful periods) and also whatever points we noticed during the routine (for instance a tender shoulder point or unhappy stomach).
To end the session on a good one, we finish with another relaxing massage sequence to tie everything together. Then you're ready to escape the treatment room & carry on with your day!

Reflexology is a very safe treatment and is suitable for almost everyone. The only exceptions are those with open wounds/ injuries on the feet that can't be massaged, those with fungal infections or verrucas, & those who are in their first trimester.
-
Reflexology is a very safe treatment, however post-treatment you may feel a bit drowsy/ headache-y/ thirsty, so make sure to stay hydrated.
Some people have reported feeling tingly in areas that came up in the treatment (this could be put down to your pathways clearing out), and many people say that they get home and zonk out into a deep sleep the evening of the treatment.

Come dressed in comfy clothes that you're happy to relax in for an hour. We'll need you to remove your shoes & socks, so you may also want to come in sandals/ easy to remove shoes.
Please ensure your feet are as clean as possible (don't worry if they're a bit stuffy from a day's work & all the running around that comes with is - as long as they've been scrubbed in the not-too-distant past, you're all good ;)
As with any massage, reflexology can make you a bit thirsty & drowsy, so make sure you have a bottle of water in your car.
So in conclusion; comfy clothes, easy to remove shoes, relatively clean feet, a bottle of water & your lovely self!
